In the General Spanish course, you will learn at each level the 4 basic skills to communicate in Spanish in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) https://www.coe.int/en/web/language-policy/cefr.
These skills refer to listening, reading, speaking, and writing. The course consists of 6 levels:
Textbook A1: Nuevo Prisma A1
Textbook A2: Nuevo Prisma A2
Textbook B1: Nuevo Prisma B1
Textbook B2: Nuevo Prisma B2
Textbook C1: Nuevo Prisma C1
Textbook C2: Nuevo Prisma C2
According to the (CEFR) approximately 150 to 200 hours of guided learning are needed for language learning.
However, the duration of each level will depend on the performance of each student, or group, their hours of study, and exposure to the language. You can do the level in 120 hours, 150 or 200 or even less; this will depend only on you or the rhythm of the group you are in.
For each level, we use a textbook (eBook) and supplementary material to consolidate your level. Once the study of these is complete, the student will have finished the level.
Each level will give you not only the tools to communicate in Spanish but also knowledge about cultural aspects of the Spanish-speaking world through different activities.
